Our family was keen to buy a holiday home in Wanaka. During a visit to Wanaka in the school holidays we began looking at properties. It quickly became apparent that it was going to be challenging to buy a property as an out of town buyer. The majority of properties were selling by auction or deadline treaty and we were not going to be on the spot to look at new listings and act quickly enough.
